The Transit hydraulic hood strut kit makes it easy to get into your engine bay. Two hydraulic gas shocks give you guided-lift assistance, so the hood rises and stays up on its own. AVC RIG carries this kit from The Van Mart for 2019+ Ford Transit vans.

Why Swap the Hood Prop
The factory hood prop takes two hands and gets in the way when you work. The gas shocks hold the hood up for you. That leaves the engine bay open and clear. Checking fluids or working on a battery setup gets quicker and easier.
Install is a short job with basic sockets. Have a friend help with the hood while you mount the brackets. Then attach the gas shocks and test the lift. Once it's done, you no longer need the factory hood prop.
The Transit hydraulic hood strut kit is a simple upgrade you can do at any stage of your build. It doesn't touch the interior at all. If you work on your own van, you'll use the Transit hydraulic hood strut kit every time you open the hood. The stainless steel brackets are CNC cut and bent to line up with the Transit engine bay.
