The AVC RIG table storage latch solves a problem every Lagun table owner knows: where do you put the table top when you're not using it? If you've been through that struggle, join the club. The struggle is real.
Why We Made the Table Storage Latch
We couldn't find a ready-to-go solution for storing a Lagun table top, so we made one. This simple product is inspired by airplane tray table storage latches. The table top goes up, the latch holds it, and your floor space is open again.
So: seats forward, Lagun tables up, and you're ready for takeoff.
What's Included
- 3D printed table latch and lower bracket
That's it. Two 3D printed parts, no extra kit to sort through.
How the Table Storage Latch Fits Your Build
A Lagun table is great for work or dinner in the van. When it's time to turn the seats forward and drive, the table top needs a home. The table storage latch gives it one, the same way an airplane seat holds a tray table up before takeoff. No more tossing the Lagun table top on the bed or wedging it behind the seats.
Both parts are 3D printed and designed by AVC RIG in our Loveland, Colorado shop. Made in the USA.
Two Ways to Stow a Lagun Table
Our B-Pillar Lagun mount install post covers stowing the table. The Lagun base plate has a small rib on its bottom edge. Leave the vertical arm on the tabletop, slide the arm onto that rib and tighten the handles. That holds the assembly low and out of the way.
Want it more secure? Add the table storage latch. In that post we describe these 3D printed latches as a way to lock the table and arm assembly to the floor or a cleat. The goal is a rattle-free ride.
Tabletop Tips From the Shop
Making your own Lagun table top? We recommend a half-inch Baltic birch panel. It is light, strong and won't warp. Before you cut, check that the top isn't too tall to slide behind your seat or wherever you plan to store it.
