Ford Transit Precut and Drilled Unistrut for Mounting Cabinetry
Looking for a rock solid way to mount your cabinetry to the interior of your van? Don't trust wood screws, glue, bubble gum, duct tape, or any of the other methods internet people are suggesting? Us either. Enter Ford Transit precut unistrut. We have been using this material to fasten cabinetry in our vans since the very beginning. We finally standardized everything and made a product that can easily be used by our DIY family (you're welcome).
Why Ford Transit Precut Unistrut
We sell these pieces individually so you can mix and match to suit your needs. Strut nuts can be used with unistrut to mount whatever your heart desires (take that, L-track). These pieces are made from P3300, which is shallow 13/16 x 1 5/8 and uses short spring strut nuts.

Three Ford Transit Precut Unistrut Pieces, Sold Individually
Ceiling: full length, unbroken 92" sticks with 4 fastening locations, designed to be bolted into the recommended locations in the ribs of the van. We use one on the driver side and one on the passenger side.
Rear: designed to bolt into the 4 factory locations in the rear upper and lower, passenger and driver sides of the van. Each piece is 54.5" long and uses 2 of the 4 fastening holes. The vertical pills are for the upper section and the horizontal pills are for the lower section. A full set is 4 total (driver upper/lower, passenger upper/lower).
Front: designed to bolt into the 2 factory locations in the front driver side of the van. Each piece is 40" long and uses 2 of the 4 fastening holes. The vertical pills are for the upper section and the horizontal pills are for the lower section. A full set is 2 total (driver upper/lower).

Planning Your Cabinetry Mounts
Figure out where your cabinetry will sit, then pick the pieces that land behind it. Upper cabinets usually want the ceiling sticks, while rear and front pieces use the factory locations lower on the walls. Once the Ford Transit precut unistrut is bolted in, strut nuts slide into the channel so you can fasten cabinetry anywhere along its length.
