What's in the Mercedes Sprinter Floor Step Kit
The full kit includes:
- front trim
- rear trim
- side step and trim
Together these parts finish the edges of your DIY floor at the front, the rear and the side step. The side step and step trim give you a finished edge where you climb in and out. Your DIY floor looks like a shop build.
No welding, bending or powder coating on your end. We do the metal work in our shop. You do the fun part. Putting off your DIY floor because the edges looked hard? This kit takes that job off your list.
Fits Your Floor Thickness
The step trim and the step overlap by about 2". That gives you the flexibility to vary the thickness of the floor (3/4" thickness above the ribs minimum). Thin floor or thicker insulated floor, the Mercedes Sprinter floor step still lines up clean.
Where It Fits in Your Build
Install your subfloor first, then your flooring, then finish the edges with the step trim. Pair it with the Mercedes Sprinter Floor Insulated Subfloor System or the Premium Synthetic Subfloor System, topped with Lonseal pre-cut flooring. The kit is designed to work with GoCode plastics. Finish the floor and the walls as one clean system. If you are already running GoCode plastics on the walls, this step trim is the matching piece for the floor.
